Clam Fest Pop Up: Calligraphic Page Design
Calligraphic Page Design: Come swing by the studio during Clam Fest! This “pop up event” will take students around 1 hour start to finish. Joelle Webber will teach calligraphic mark making, using India Ink and a collection of simple tools in a play based manner. She will guide you through the basics of using broad edged tools as well as Eastern pointed brushes in calligraphic ways. Joelle will also discuss page design from calligraphic and book arts perspectives. Explore creating lyrical and staccato marks, that can be used in patterns or other unique ways on the page. At the end of the session we will shape a paper box from one of your pages to see how your designs come to life!
