Paper Lanterns: Join Joelle in creating a magical paper lantern. In this class we will sketch our lantern designs to then be cut, poked and shaped from the paper. Essentially 'drawing' our designs with light. We will also shape our hanging devises, either out of metal wire or wooden dowels and discuss where to find the pendant lights to hang them in your home. Hand decorated paste papers will be provided, but feel free to bring your favorite papers.

“Keeping an Art Journal - Autumn Edition” course is designed to kickstart your creativity all October and November long ! Instructor Stephanie Berry will focus mainly on painting and drawing skills, and how to best incorporate them together. Turning doodles into works of art, creating a cohesive composition, and mixing and blending watercolors will just be some of the themes taught in this class. Accordion Pocket Books: Join Joelle for an enjoyable session of book arts play. In this class we will create Accordion Pocket Books that can be filled with your favorite recipes, travel teas, postcards or other journaling and gift ideas. Learn to use basic book binding tools and techniques, including some collage fun. We will also discuss how versatile the accordion book can be for future creative projects.

Adult Art Camp Series: Watercolor Pouring Method: Adults can go to art camp too! Have fun with this one day watercolor workshop as we dive into the world of “the pouring method”. This method allows artists to pour liquid watercolor layer by layer, and let loose a little. With this technique, artists will choose their subject matter and receive 3 liquid watercolors to “pour” onto their papers to create stunning artworks. This workshop is great for those that want to try something completely different, as this does not use a paintbrush in a standard painting format. Watching paint dry has literally never been more fun! Come try this awesome practice of watercolor pouring!

Adult Art Camp Series: Painted Canvas Tote: Adults can go to art camp too! We all need a bag for our farmers market treasures, beach belongings, and everyday odds and ends. Come to the studio for a one day workshop to paint a canvas tote bag. During this workshop you will be given some fun illustrative ideas and tricks to make your bag stand out, as well as blending and painting techniques. Adult “campers” will use a mix of materials to make their tote bags unique to them, including paint, paint pens, threads and more.

Adult Art Camp Series: Hydrangea Art Workshop: Adults can go to art camp too! Come to the studio garden, and create an artwork inspired by our lovely hydrangea wall. We will have a plethora of supplies to use, so adult “camper” artists will be able to feel inspired by what feels right to them. Watercolors, thread, pastels, inks are just some of the materials we will have out. During this 3 hour workshop we will talk about composition, color theory, layering, and design elements to make your hydrangea pop with visual interest.
